The ASID MN Interior Design Tour is back, and this time it will feature rooms from every part of the house: kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms and libraries. Show us your best work!
“The best designer-client relationships are built over time, and we are excited to tell that story through a variety of spaces,” says tour co-chair Tanya Otten of Select Surfaces.
For instance, projects could include a recently completed living room next to a dining room from an earlier phase that served as the initial partnership.
“Designers will be able to demonstrate the benefits of long-term relationships first-hand by sharing plans for future design phases alongside finished spaces in a client’s home,” says tour co-chair Gigi DiGiacomo of DiGiacomo Homes, Inc
Past entrants such as Kate Roos of Kate Roos Design say they will definitely consider participating again.
“The ASID Interior Design Tour was a wonderful opportunity for me to meet potential clients and show them my work in person. I had several people tell me how much they enjoyed the intimate tour and most planned to visit every designer’s home,” Roos says. “Several people have stayed in touch with me for their future projects, and I recently completed a kitchen for a lovely couple in Chaska who I met on the tour.”
This boutique tour will run Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 14, 2019. It offers an impressive promotional value and unmatched opportunities to reach qualified potential clients. The online application, due November 15, takes only five minutes. For a tour fee of only $1,000, accepted projects will share in more than $30,000 in marketing through Midwest Home Magazine and marketing agency Russell Herder. Advertising plans include a dedicated feature section in Midwest Home, local publicity pushes, digital promotion and paid social media advertising.
Nicole Sirek, senior project manager at Partners 4 Design, feels prospective clients from ASID Tours were more qualified and appreciated the accessibility of ASID’s tour. “The size of this tour is comfortable for people to get to all locations, and it only being one weekend is good for us and clients,” she said.
Benefits extend to homeowners as well, who will receive free tickets to share with friends and neighbors. Designers can assure clients that the tour is a ticketed event, aimed at attracting qualified leads, with a designer on site during the tour who will help stage the house to look its best.
